So, remember my last post where I said mine and Mandys friend Kman was going to Utah for 10 days and we were going to miss him, and he was going to miss us/stampede....well yesterday this is the following conversation we had at noon:
Kman: sooo guess what? I'm not going to Utah anymore, my mom has to work!
Me:(trying to contain my excitment) Really, that sucks I'm sorry, but atleast you get to hang out with us.
Kman: Yeah, I was going to say the good news is, is I get to hang out with you. I didn't even want to go to Utah anyways, I would have been bored.....
Me: WOOOOOHOOOOOOO, ok lets plan something fun
**planning fun things**
- stampede, 4th of july party at kami's,bbq's,my parents coming to Calgs
He goes to write his final....which he did really good on..... and at 10:30 I get THIS!
Kman: Hey, so uhhhh it looks like I'm going to Utah again, I wish my family would make up their freakin minds, it's driving me nuts.
Me: AHHHHHH NOOOOOOOOOO you can't go, I'm really sad...
Me: Kman you didn't even want to go, its going to be a long boring drive, you'll have no fun, you'll miss stampede, you'll miss the 4th of july party, you'll miss US and you'll miss a week of work.
Kman: Lachele, you're making me feel the worst for going.. If I bail now my mom will kill me. There will be lots of time when I get back for fun summer adventures. I'm sad I've been making plans all day for next week and now I have to go.
Me: DOOOOOOON'T go, who cares if you haven't seen your family in 3 years! HA!
So, needless to say I'm feeling a little abandoned right now! grrrrr thanks alot kman for getting my hopes up. Looks like we'll just have to have alot of fun before he leaves, and when he gets back. Tomorrow he is going into work, so he doesn't get to come play with us, so when we get back we're going to have a bbq and go watch the fireworks from the look out. Which means we need to get there at like 7 to get a good spot haha.... so we're just going to bring food and games to keep us occupied for a few hours before they start!
Tomorrow is the start of the FUNNEST month EVER!!

End of June.......
Can I just ask if anyone else feels like this year has flown by SOOO fast!?
It's the end of June already. Canada Day is right around the corner, and then it's stampede!! I'm really excited for July it's probably going to be the funnest month of the year by far! This month I have the following planned:
- July 1--Trip to the outdoor waterslides on Wednesday to celebrate Canada Day with the girls, then coming back to BBQ and watch fireworks
- July 3-12--STAMPEDE!!! whhhhat whhhhat I'm sooo excited for it, I think I'll be there a few times this year, the suckiest thing about this week tho, is that mine and Mandys only friend Kman will be in Utah...ha ha we're trying to convince him to stick around but he's not having it!
- July 10th--My fave American Asian Kimberly Jane Lance is coming to see me for 10 days with 3 of her friends, and I'm super excited to go to Banff, Lake Louise, Elbow Falls, Waterton, The Temple, Zoo, COP, Floating down the river.... and EATING tons of food cause they're around!
- July 24th-- Going to Kelowna with Mandy for a YSA Conference... HELL YEAH! That will be alot of fun!
Doesn't that sound like the funnest month anyone could ever have....theres some minor crappy parts....a.k.a WORK...that are going to get in the way of some of this, but I'm not going to let it stop me!
So, this weekend was pretty emotional, and draining! Friday night Mandy and I went to the YSA summer opening party thing which was alot of fun, We really need to get out more because I haven't seen some of those people in such a long time! Lame huh!
Saturday Shannon and I went shopping and ran into Mandy and one of her "friends" TJ ALLRED and he has family from Taber so that was wicked cool! Then we got this bright Idea to rent a raft and go floating down the river, but it was like 2 by the time we decided this and we were feeding the missionaries at 6 so we just took the raft to Hertiage park.... and put it in the Glenmore Resviour... We had alot of fun, until we got in the middle of a canoe class...those dang canoers definately don't have a sense or humor, they were soooo pissed our little boat got stuck in the middle of their class.... it's not our fault.... geez. We also found out the hard way that "inflatable" boats are not allowed in the glenmore....but canoes and kyaks are.... whats the difference? GEEZ! We stayed out there anyways! It was fun. We had the Elders over for dinner with Kman(kman is soo good to come hang out with Mandy and I, I'm really surprised he still talks to us....we're sometimes hard to handle in large doses) but he stuck around, and then we went to my friend Julies birthday bbq which was alot of fun. I sure do love julie! She makes me feel important haha! We had tickets to the 10:30 showing of Transformers which was not as good as the first one, I was really disappointed... to the point that I fell asleep and kman had to wake me up at the end. That was a late night... Thanks Jordy and Kman for hanging out with us! You two are super fun.
Sunday, I was super tired but Church was good. I was sitting in Sunday School with Mandy Kman and Jordy and the FIRE ALARM went off...haha some little kid pulled it and we had to be evacuated and the fire trucks came, but then we got to go back in and finish church! Mandy and I had left overs from dinner the night before, and took naps, then we went and Visit Taught Kman. It's a new pilot program we're trying out...where girls visit the boys...so far so good, Kman was a good sport about it. We pretty much just went over his house to talk to him and hang out. He'd be studying all day for his math final today, and we baked him cookies..... We're good friends... I think thats why he sticks around... we feed him! :)
I, in true fashion have NO pictures of this weekend cause I blow and remembering to take any, but I PROMISE to take pictures ALL the time in July so that I will be able to document my fun month!

Blogging is Hard
This blogging business is hard stuff...let me tell you! I've been told lately that my blog is funny, and that I have funny stories and now I feel pressured to produce some funny stuff...but what happens when I'm not having any 'funnies' Well, this has become a common occurance with me lately, I haven't done anything in a few weeks that warrants a funny post... so I just thought that I'd post about something random.... in the 8 years that I've been driving I've had 5 cars. YEAH! 5 cars it's not what it sounds like but I thought it was funny when someone comments on my post that it seems like everytime I go home I'mgetting something fixed on my car. Well, I don't have any pictures of my cars right now, but I will add pictures of all of them so you can get a good look at them. They're pretty hott!
My very first car was a TANK 1981 Oldsmobile regalty. It was like 20 feet long and 10 feet wide, it was a boat! It had a sunroof and red leather seats and the sweetest licence plate ever "Touch Of Class".... Rhonda as I so lovingly named her was very tempermental. You had to double pump the gas before you started her, and you had to pump it a few times after it started so it would stay running, I had to have my foot on the gas as I was putting it into drive or it would stall, she would stall on hills. This thing was great for crusing around taber, and stalking. Some funny stories I have about Rhonda are going to grad in it, We fit 3 girls with HUGE dresses and our dates in it with room to spare, my friend Lane and I would go on stalking missions of girls/guys we liked....it wasn't really inconspicious everyone knew I drove that car AND they could hear her from a mile away! I was never allowed to take her on the highway cause she was pretty unreliable, but it was fine to drive around taber in, but lets be honest I totally drove her to lethbridge for wendys runs, and to movies, and to basketball games.... :)I'm allowed to tell these stories cause this was like 6-7 years ago and I can't really get in trouble anymore for them...ha ha! Ahhhh oh Rhonda, my dad recently sent her to the junk yard. I was really very sad!
My second car was a 2005 car that I had just bought when I was home from school, so that I'd have something to drive, I had made one car payment on the car and I was in a car accident and she was totalled, we never developed that bond, nor did she get a name. I don't even know if I have a picture of this car in good condition... I think I just have pictures of the end result after I was smashed up in it.
My third car was another 2005 I was pretty nervous about driving a small car, I was always scared I was going to get smashed again, so I quickly sold that car(she didn't get a name either) and I have no fun stories about it either. I hated that car.
My fourth car was a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee, It was definately bigger than a car and I named him Winston. I had some fun adventures in winston that I will not disclose at this time for fear of getting my butt whipped by my parents(cause my mom blog stalks me) Those will come in about 5 years when I won't get in trouble for them. My dad is now the proud driver of Winston and I think they get along really well, I wanted something a little newer and so I gave it to him(or he took it back, cause I never actually bought it off my parents :))
My fifth and current vehicle is a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee and she is my pride and joy, I LOVE THIS JEEP! it's sooo nice and roomie, and it makes me look like a high roller..haha even tho I'm totally not. I don't have a name for it yet, but we've already had some pretty sweet roadtrips in it already, I've been down to Utah twice already in it and I've only had it since december, I've been to Banff and Edmonton. I've had boy bashing sessions in it, We've had stalking sessions in it. It's a pretty good vehicle and I love it. It's nice and big and I don't feel nervous in it, cause if anyone is going to get crushed it won't be me :) I don't exactly have the best luck with new vehicles hence(smashing my first new car in an accident, and although I haven't smashed this one I've had my fair share of problems with this jeep... I cracked the rims, spilt stuff on my seats, punctured my new tires, and some bugger backed into to me.) I really should just stick to Old Tanks like Rhonda and Winston, those things were troopers!
Anyways, I hope not to have 5 more vehicles in the next 8 years, but we will see what happens in the future.

Happy Father's Day & Weekend Update
Well, I'm always late on the blogging front when it comes to deadlines. I always post birthdays, mothers day and now fathers day...days late... but I have a really good excuse as to why I didn't blog about it yesterday...well.... I WAS WITH MY FATHER! There, thats why! So, now I have just a few moments to blog about my Dad, who is wonderful! I love him. He goes beyond the call of Dad Duty to rescue me when I'm having a rough day, or when something goes wrong. I remember a time in highschool when my friend Lauren and I went out to Raymond wicked late at night and her radar died on the creepy dark highway, I called my dad and within minutes he had called laurens dad and her dad had a truck and trailer and they were on there way to get us! I'm sure I'd still be stuck on that highway if it wasn't for him. :) Thanks dad! And just this weekend I drove over an electrical staple and it punctured my tire, no sooner did I get home and tell my dad, he was on the phone with the tirestore down in Taber and the owner was on his way to meet me to get my tire taken care of...he even foot the bill... Thanks papa!! I had the chance to go visit my grandpa last night before I came home too... He's a funny man, I'm not exactly sure what else I can say about him..haha he's just a riot... I think thats where I get my funniness from, is him.... Thanks for everything this weekend. I love you guys!!
This weekend was really chill, I went swimming, hung out with my parents dog, had a bbq qith my family and watched GHOSTBUSTERS! OHHHHHHHHH YEA!

Dear Loser
Dear Loser,
Yeah you, you hit the back of my jeep and drove off. I think you suck, and you're a really bad driver! Next time you hit the back of someones car, you might want to leave a note explaining about how stupid you are, how you have no concept of depth perception and how you are just plain stupid! Thank you for doing as little damage as possible. You only slightly cracked my back bumper and left a huge black mark on the corner of it. You've messed with the wrong person, I watch CSI and I will find you. You can NOT hide forever! I will do a paint analysis and find the year, make and model of your car. It should be easy to narrow down in a city of a million. No big deal, it's not like I don't have better things to do.
Sincerely a very pissed off Jeep owner;
Lachele

I never have cool titles
I hate adding titles, but I feel its a must, they're going to be sooo random from now on, considering that I usually just put something stupid anyways.....
Anyways, Last night I had a chance to catch up with my good friend Chase, whom I love dearly and I think he needs to come visit ASAP! It was really good to talk to him(and I hope his dad doesn't castrate him for calling canada) but I'm glad he did, and that he was willing to make that sacrifice for me! Thanks Chase :) anyways, we haven't been the best of friends lately, life, school, and work get in the way...which is fine but last night we had a good little chat after my meetings last night and we caught me up to speed on alot of stuff going on with him, and I told him about the latest in my life...and it was nice! It's so nice to know that whenever I lose contact with different people for various amounts of time, that when we finally do talk its like no time has passed.... It's totally like that with Chase and I...we won't talk for a month or two except for random fb messages and when we talk its like nothing has changed! I love it! Thanks Chase for the advice... we'll see if I have the balls to carry thru with what you told me to do...ha ha!!
ANNNNNNNNNND!!!! Saren was in Calgary, and so we met in the Ikea parking lot at like 11 for a little chit chat, and so I could give her, her credit card back...back in the day Saren had the hugest problem with spending money so she gave me her credit cards to freeze, and she's going home for her brothers wedding and she needed to grab it from me, so it was a good reason to get to see her! She's sooo funny, and I love that no matter how much time we are apart(which is alot right now cause shes selling in Medicine Hat) it's still the same between us. <3 it! Here are some pictures of Saren and I, note the same faces, but different clothes, we do this alot, and I just love LOVE LOOOOVE her! She's awesome and can't you tell we have so much fun together!

Funny story Saren and I had been sitting in the parkinglot of Ikea for like 45 minutes and this Rent-A-Cop had been crusing up and down the isles to make sure nothing shady was going on, and we just laughed sooo hard everytime he drove past us, and like the 20th time he drove past us, he stopped and said " Ladies, I know you're just talking, but I'm just checkin to see no shady business is going on, carry on" HAHAHA!!! Thanks Rentacop! He probably didn't even have a nightstick....I love the random things that happen in my life, and can I just tell you getting harassed in the Ikea parking lot at midnight is high up there on my list of random things that have happened to me!

Credit Cards
..... You know what....
I HATE CREDIT CARDS!
--I hate when people try to give me more than one credit card, and I really hate it when they up my credit card limit without asking me. They're trying to make me go bankrupt. Now, in self defense right now my credit card limit is only at $2000.00 but every 6 months they up it $500 bucks.... they're going to make me go broke soon! I'm not near as bad as some of my friends, or other people I've heard about, but I feel like I've been paying off my credit card for sometime now and it sucks, because all of the money I could be putting into savings, I'm using to pay down my stupid credit card. I was living on such a good strict budget for the first few months of the year, and I was wicked stoked and super proud of myself, but I find myself slipping. I would not go to movies, or out to dinner if it wasn't in my weekly budget. I alloted myself money for gas, groceries and a little extra for some entertainment. BUT I would just start spending off my credit card if I wanted a new pair of jeans, or a new hoodie.... and now I am mad. Mad, because I have two weddings to go to this fall that are no where near where I live(which means I need to spend money) annnnd I have a friend coming up from Utah for Stampede....=money I need to spend. When will I learn. My parents have always taught me that I need to be responsible I thought I was but apparently not.... At the rate/my game plan I will have my credit card paid off by August 11th. LAME huh?!?!
I don't know where my money goes, but it doesn't go where it needs to be. I don't know how some people raise families on my salary, because I can barely live on it(not true, I'd have close to $1000 in savings a month if I could just curb my spending.) New Goal= Lachele learning how to save her money....=Good Goal!
<3 Wish me Luck!

Thank you, thank you, thank you JAMIE!
WOOOOOHOOOOO I just learned how to upload pictures! I am sooo excited.. Ohhhh happy day! Ohhhhh HAAAAAPPPPPY daaaaaaaay!! ha ha these have absolutely no importance, I am at work right now so I just grabbed a couple pictures off facebook real quick to test out the waters and see how it worked! and it works like a charm! This picture is of me after 13 hour drive down to Utah at like 1 am. I look like I'm having a good time, but I'm pretty sure I was on the verge of tears cause I was soooo tired! I look super tan tho eh?!?!
Here, is a picture of me from last summer, we thought it would be pretty funny to wrap me in saran wrap.... the only part they never told me about was how long they were going to leave me like that... walking was definately a challenge, I got pushed over onto beds and they wouldn't help me roll over, I guess my ab muscles weren't as strong as I thought they were.....Luckily Ari-Random a.k.a Ariana Young cut me out. Gosh I miss that lady!

Ok, So.... I think my Saturday Night adventure got a little out of hand this weekend. I wasn't even with any of the same Saturday Night Adventure crew....so that was a little messed up first off.... but before I get into what happened Saturday, let me just recap the rest of my B-O-R-I-N-G weekend. Friday night I went to the gym and I watched the Stanley Cup game 7...WOOHOO Pittsburgh. Apparently we want the underdogs(aka the team with the least amount of Stanley Cup wins to win....did I get that right kyle?) I got home from the gym around 11pm(showered and went straight to bed) my legs were killing me and it was soooo nice to just be able to go to bed and sleep....although with going to bed that early, I was sure to wake up early.....7:45 saturday morning rolls around and I'm wide awake.....perfect! I did some laundry, went and did some shopping at lulu lemon went to the gym for 2 and a half hours, came home laid in the sun for a bit, decided I was bored, went BACK to the gym for another two and a half hours..... got home showered, met my old roomate for dinner....then.....this is where the not so fun begins!
(So, heres where all the moms, and my mom stop reading)
My old roomate Savana's friend Justin was in town from BC and he wanted to go find this old abandoned town outside of Calgary, it was midnight and so we figured why not, we started driving and got out to the place around 1am, and to get to this place we had to walk along train tracks to this forest place and go thru the trees and then it would be there in a clearing, so we were walking, and walking, and pretty soon my feet were getting wicked sore(cause I was wearing $1 flip flops from old navy) and I was getting tired, and anyone that knows me, knows that when I get tired, I get grouchy and irriatable and I just want to go home....so after about 45- an hour of walking I decided to go back. So, since everyone else wanted to keep trying to find this town they gave me a half dead flashlight and the keys to the car. Great.... I started walking back and then the flash light died, then moon wasn't out it was pitch black. I was freakin out, I was soooo scared. All of a sudden I see this green light flashing....I thought it was a Ghost, I kept walking and then straight ahead of me was this bright light......dun dun dun dun..... it was a TRAIN!(so much for those tracks being abandoned too)....thanks alot Justin. I was all alone and so I had to find a place off the tracks to go while the train passed and I knew there were embankments along the way and I wasn't too sure how far from the tracks or how steep they were but I ended up face down on the ground holding onto a pole for dear life. It was probably the scariest moment of my life. I got back to the car and was wicked pissed.... we drove home and I was in bed by 4am......and up by 830..... needless to say when I saw the kid who suggested it Sunday morning at church... I wanted to kick him...but of course I couldn't because I have blisters on the bottoms of my feet, and walking was soooo painful yesterday :( sad story!
I almost didn't go to Church yesterday, but I'm glad I did. The bishop that I've had for the last two or so years got released yesterday, and a new bishopric was called in. My friend Kristen Kroekers dad is the new bishop, along with my friend Lauren Glenns dad, and My friend Bridget Galbraith's dad as well. It should be exciting to see what happens in the next 3 years with these men. We're having a bbq at the bishops house tonight as a going away party for the old bishopric and their wives tonight. So many changes going on these days... it's been interesting. I guess what they say is right. Nothing every stays the same!
I'm still inlove with my new gym(obviously....) but, today one of the girls I work with said I looked like I was toning up, and losing weight..... HELL YEAH! I am happy to know that even the last week and a half of work has been paying off, and that I(or others around me) are starting to see results. I just need to stick with it and keep up the good work. I might have to take a few days off from the gym for the simple fact that I can barely walk properly cause of the blisters on my feet.... So Hopefully Tomorrow night or Wednesday I'll be able to hit the gym again for a few hours after institiute. I'm also getting my hair cut again Wednesday by Alida Young(whom I love dearly) She does such an amazing job on my hair, and I always get compliments so I'm excited to see what we're going to do with it this time. I'm not sick of this hair style yet, so I think we're going to keep in the same, just shorten it up alot! I'll TRY and post some pictures.....
SARAH,ASH,JAMIE....how do I post pictures? I still need to do a before and a after of the last time I cut my hair!

Corporate Challenge
In the fall, every year Calgary has something called the "Corporate Challenge" and it's a two week event and each day is a different event, and you sign up for events with your co-workers. Well, it use to just be the downtown offices that would participate but this year they've extended it to the whole City of Calgary. I'm sort of being a keener and I've signed up for like 10 events. We make up our own teams, or we just sign up as individuals and we get put on a team. I only really know the people in my Dept. so it will be a good way for me to meet more people that work at the Tom Baker. It should be pretty fun. Sign up is today in like 20 minutes, and so we're trying to figure out our teams and what events we want to do. I'm stoked for a few reasons 1.) It will be fun. 2.) I'll get out of work early everyday for two weeks 3.) It will give me a chance to meet new people.
So far I've signed up for:
-Basketball
-Volleyball
-Bocce Ball-> I've never played this game in my life, but it looks like fun, all I do is throw things
-Curling....-> again I've never curled in my life, it looks hard, I might walk away with a few bruises...but what doesn't kill you makes you stronger eh!
-Tug-O-War..ha!
-10km Run
-Softball
and I might sign up for Soccer... I'm not very good, and I haven't played since jr.high....so we'll see!
I'm excited now that I'm going to most of all be doing the 10k run, and playing basketball. I love those two things, and running 10 k will really help me train for my triathlons. A side note about basketball, the YSA in Calgary have started a basketball tournment and I'm sooo stoked! We did this a few years ago and it was so much fun! Last time it was co-ed but this year its going to be boys team and girls teams, and while we were cleaning out the ward cupboard we found Edworthy Park Pinnies( Dan makes me call them pinnies) ugh! Sooooo that will be fun. Hopefully I'm not super rusty, although I'm pretty sure I am. I wish it was like riding a bike, you never forget but I bet I don't even know how to hold a basketball

Gold's Gym
H.E.L.L YEAH!
For the last little while I've decided that I was sick of SpaLady and the fact that its only open til 9pm during the week, 6 on saturdays and 3 on sundays. I always felt like I needed to go there right after work and stay there til 830-9 to get my workout in, and by that time of night the rest of my free time would consist of showering and heading to bed.. and I assumed one of the reasons I was slacking so much with my gym attendance was for the simple fact that I stopped being a gym hermit and I found friends... Go figure huh?
SOOOOO I was looking for something that had:
- Later hours
-Something that had a swimming pool perhaps for the simple fact that I was having to go to two totally different places to swim and to work out......
-More equiptment
-New eqiptment
-Something realitively close to my house
Lo, and behold my friend Abby was telling about how she goes to Golds Gym down in Mckenzie Towne( I know Mckenzie Towne, thats soooo far from my house, but really it's not. It's like a 10 minute drive on deerfoot which was the same as the 10-15 minute drive to the other gym driving thru a busy part of the city! It's open 24 hours Mon-Friday and open 8-8 Saturdays and Sundays, it has a pool, it was TONS(100+machines) of cardio equiptment and each piece of cardio equiptment has its own TV. I think my tv watching is about to increase drastically..... It's got a spinning facility, a yoga/pilates studio AND a womens gym. I walked in and I was soooo stoked! It was such a nice gym, its brand new and so everything is still in good condition. I was super impressed with:
-The nice upkeep of the outside
-The fact that it had a juice bar inside
-The bright colors and the feel of a new gym
-The reception staff and how excited they were I was there
-My trainer Kaz, who introduced me to the fact that I have 6 years worth of RBC points on my credit card
-That it's CHEAP-> $50 bucks a month including EVERYTHING(pool, all classes, all access to the gym, and some personal training)
-The fact that it has a tanning studio in the gym. BONUS!
-That Abby goes there
**However, It was re-affirmed to me that I hate working out with people, for the simple fact that I have a strict schedule that I want to adhere to, and I don't want to hold anyone up, and I don't want anyone to feel obligated to run for 2 hours with me, when they'd rather me spinning in the gym! Sorry Abby. I'm glad that you're there with me, but I'm sorry I held you up!**
My trainer is wicked cool, he showed me around the facility, introduced me to the other trainers(who are hott I might add) Holy Cow, and he got me all set up with my membership! It was the easiest and best thing I've ever done, and he's soooo excited to help me train for the Yuba Tri in September! So hopefully I'll be right on track with that so I can actually compete this year. Needless to say, I'm one happy camper, I can take a nap right after work, do any errands that I need to do then head to the gym without feeling like I need to rush cause I need to be out by 9pm. I'm sure this isn't the last post you'll hear about my Gold's experiences. I've already embarassed myself once. I couldn't find a fountain to fill up my water bottle for the life of me, so I went into the co-ed bathroom to fill it up, but I didn't lock the door and some guy came in, then freaked out when he saw me! Ha how embarassing. Then he ended up running right beside for for an hour...... yikes :s I'm excited to hit the gym again tonight after volleyball! Should be fun times!
Volleyball, Oooo how I've missed it, I haven't been in about 3 weeks and its been devestating, I use to live for Thursday night volleyball, and so I'm super stoked that I get to go play tonight!

This weekends events...

This weekend, was definately a low key, chill weekend and I think it's just what I needed to clear my head after this week. Friday night we had a girls night. Mandy, Shannon, Allison and myself went to Tony Romas for dinner and laughed and caught up all night (I don't know how 4 girls who do EVERYTHING together would need a night to catch up, but apparently we do) Then we headed back to Mandy's apt and made apple crisp and started to watch the 1st season of Private Practice. SOOOO good! We were all super tired by like 10:30 and decided to just watch the show and sleep. Saturday morning we woke up bright and early to S.N.O.W (Yup, check the date! JUNE 6th!) WTF, this country is definately WACKED! ugh! I was pretty disappointed considering the weekend before I got a nasty sunburn from laying out by the lake with Abbster! Mandy made me breakfast( I really just need to start giving her my grocery money, she always cooks for me. I literally haven't boughten groceries in FOREVER) Thanks Mandy-pants! THEN we headed to the church for a TEMPLE trip! It was Jordy and Mandys first time going to the Cardston Temple, so we were all pretty stoked. In the car on the way down was me, Kyle Sorenson, Courtney who had just gotten baptized a couple months ago so it was his first time too, Mandy, and Jordy, we listened to Church music and just got to know Courtney and Kyle better. They're great guys! We did baptisms and I haven't done them in almost two years, so it was fun. We baptized and confirmed pretty much a WHOLE ward! Isn't that crazy... I love Temples! They're awesome, and I couldn't have asked to go to the Temple with a more fun group! Seriously! It was the bomb.com On our way home Abbster texted me and said her adopted sister was getting baptized and I had hung out with her a bit, so I asked everyone if they wanted to go, so we went to her baptism. It was seriously such a great day. We got back into calgary went and bought pizzas and had a pizza party! It was good. Since it was cold we stayed in for our Saturday night hangout and we invited more people. Normally its just me brett, mandy and jordy but we just invited more people! Yesterday was a good day, we went to church and then after that headed over to Mandys to make pizza for the SECOND pizza party of the weekend at the church. The group we sat with was pretty much the same one we drove down to the Temple with, and SAVANA! She's home and it was fun to see her, and catch up about old times. We sure had fun living together for that year. We really need a roomate reunion. After Kyle and I tied up a few loose ends we went to Brett and Jordys place to watch transformers. Neither Brett nor Kyle had seen it since they've been home from their missions so we definately needed to watch it. we crammed 3 of us on a small couch and like 8 other people on two matress' it was a pretty tight squeeze but it was a good time!
Here's just a shout out to my BABY sister, who turned 21 on Sunday! Happy birthday baby sista! I love you. My sister is so fun. Her and I definately don't always see eye to eye with each other. We're so much alike that we just buttheads but I love her, and shes awesome. I'm excited to go home in a few weeks so that we can hang out. I don't spend enough time with her. She's always on the go with work or with friends so it seems like we always miss each other. Happy Birthday Kayla!

Remember When.......
-- I use to go to the Gym everyday from 5:30pm-9pm
-- I use to make sure I ate very strictly
-- I use to count calories to the very calorie.....
-- I use to spend my FRIDAY nights at the gym, then the swimming pool
-- I use to weigh myself on a weekly basis to the decimal
-- I use to keep track of the calories I burned on a daily basis at the gym
-- I WAS DATING GYM!
I miss those times, and I'm bound and determined to get there again....starting T.O.N.I.G.H.T!
If anyone needs to get ahold of me before 9 pm I will be at the gym either running, biking, running or biking some more! I'm ready to get serious with Gym again. I use to be so happy, and I was well on my way to getting back in shape.......what the heck happened?!?! Well who cares what happened, just as long as I get back on track ASAP!
<3 Peace Out!

I just..........
was looking thru old pictures of last summer..... when my hair was REALLY long and hott, when I was super tan and when I was alot LESS chunkier.... and thent he summer before that I was tanner and LESS chunkier... SOOOOOOO it looks as if since I got sick I've completely fell off the band wagon thinking I can eat whatever I want....but I can't, and I can't not exercise...and I hate not exercising.... THEREFORE...... dun dun dun....... I will go back to doing what I did last summer..... eat less, eat healthier, work out more and have fun! I did more of that the summer before....so maybe I'll step it up a notch..... Heres my plan:
-everyday after work I'll go straight to the gym for some cardio and some weights then head home and carry on with my night......( no one does anything before 10pm anyways, so what am I worried about missing out on?)
-I will plan out what I am going to eat for the day the night before, I can have whatever I want, it just has to be on the list. I can have a cookie...but if I say one cookie I only get one...... If I don't have a cookie written down, no cookie for me, I'll add it to the list for the next day, but after I have a chance to think about it, I really don't want the cookie....therefore I will eat less cookies.
- I will tan more.... I will get outside on the weekends and nights after the gym and I will do fun things, and I'll get a tan+ add a little bronzer and ALOHA! I'll look like I stepped right off the plane from hawaii!
So these are my goals, and I really should make these habits, for the simple fact that I'm still supose to be training for my triathlon... :s whoops I kind of dropped the ball on that one too... I will just work my butt off! Save my money and buy myself some cute summer clothes!
Oh how I love summer!

I am.........
SOSOSOSOSOSOSOSOSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited that it's Thursday! Thursdays are so much fun, I go to the gym for two hours after work, and then after that I go play volleyball with a bunch of my friends for a few hours! Pretty much the best thing ever! I love it! I also love Thursdays because its almost Fridays, and when its Friday, its the weekend..... and weekends R.O.C.K. This weekend will be nothing short of amazing! I'm going to the Temple Saturday morning, then Mandy and I are heading out to Waterton to rent scooters, and eat at the best pizza place ever, then go on a hike and be TOURISTS! It's one of the Items on my summer bucket list....... so I can cross that off..... or just add it again, so I can go back!
HELL YEAH! <3

A little on the serious side........
So, I don't really like to blog about serious things, because that usually means debates, and I don't really like getting into heated arguements over things, so I choose not to give my opinions about certain things....it doesn't mean I don't have an opnion on them, but I've found that being Member of the Church(Latter-Day Saints) We've(I) have different view/opinions on things that the rest of the world in this day in age. This post has a few different aveunes I've considered taking, and I was going to post about it last night but I chose to sit on it for a little bit.
First off, Prop 8..........I know, I know.... a VERY touchy subject...especially with people that I work with, which is one of the reasons we don't really discuss religion or politics....someone is bound to lose an eye. I KNOW with every fiber in my being that marriage is ordained of God, and it is between a Man A.N.D a Woman. That each gender brings something special and important to a relationship that could not be brought together any other way. The mans role in the family is to provide for the family, and the mother is the nurturer. For more infomation on how strong the Church views family, visit the link below. The family is the basic unit on the earth today. We believe that a family is FOREVER, this is why we are sealed together for time and all Eternity in Temples. Mothers and Fathers have the chance to be with their children in this life, and in the life to come. What a blessing it is, to have that knowledge here on the earth today! I am grateful for it. One thing that really impressed me, about a month or so ago I was watching the Miss America Pagent and it came down to the finals and the judges were asking each contestant a question. The California contestant was sure to win, but Perez Hilton asked something about Gay Marriages and if she thinks they should be legalized, and she took a stand, she explained that she believes that marriage should stay between a man and a women in keeping with the tradition, and since then she's taken alot of heat for that statement, and as a result did not win. Thank you Miss California for publicly saying what we have all been trying to say for a long time.

The second 'serious' topic that I would like to blog about that affects me/the people around me personally is that of the economy. I've seen what the ecomony has done to people I work with, and people that I know. Stocks have dropped leaving people with virtually nothing, multi-million dollar companies have gone bankrupt resulting in thousands of jobs lost. Where I work is experiencing a heck of a time at present, and we thought that we would never be in jepordy that our jobs were secure, and if I've learned anything about this time which we live in right now....nothing is secure, and we should always be grateful for the things we have in our lives. Recently, a few people from my dept. have been let go due to changes and cut backs that have been made. All the 'temp/causal employees have been let go and now we're having to make do with as little as possible, but enough to ensure the work is being done..... and no one cares about our sanity. When I started with the ACB(Alberta Cancer Board) I was casual full-time, and then in Sept 08 I became full time permanent a choice in which I am grateful I made. The girl who filled my job as casual was just told that June 15th would be her last day. People with mortgages and families are being let go with no more than a weeks notice. I am thankful for a secure job(as of now) I might not always like what I do, or who I work with but it's better than being jobless in this time when everyone is on hiring freezes. I am also grateful that my parents jobs are still here, and that this hasn't hit close to home. My work has started to become more 'frugal' lately to the point where they're rationing out our paper, buying referbished products such as toner cartriages and fax cartriages that run out faster and have to be replaced more, they're buying the no named stinky note pads with NO stick... it's getting to be a bit insane, but I guess everyone is trying to save a buck or two
I'm thankful for inspired men who run the Church, without them, we would be more worried than needs be at this time. We have been warned and coucilled to prepare for hardships that are falling right now. We've been councilled to have money in savings(enough for 3 months rent & bills), and to have a 3 month supply of food(essencials) I have not done all of this due to lack of space for a food storage and trying to pay off debts faster, but I have enough for my needs if something were to happen. Last week a couple of women I work with were talking about a commercial they saw on tv the night before about the government encouraging every person to have a 72 hour emergency kit.... HA! The Prophets have been telling us this for how long now. It's nice to be ahead of the show for something. I have that. WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOO
Thank you for the knowledge that I have during these rough times, it makes it not feel so rough.

NEW MOON!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
seriously? Need I even say more?
http://moviesblog.mtv.com/2009/05/31/watch-the-twilight-sagas-new-moon-trailer-here/
if ya'll haven't seen this trailer yet, I suggest you do! It was everything I imagined it would be a more! I am soooo excited!
P.S did anyone else see how hott Edward was last night, and how awkward and retarded Bella was.... I think I hate her! ha ha!
On another note... this weekend was pretty chill.... Friday night there was a dance, and a congrats party for our friend Gordie(jordy) we love him. He's soooo much fun! The dance was good, it was nice to be able to shake my groove THANG! whoop whoop!
Saturday we went to our friend Shawns bbq then we went to this lookout over the city(which was amazing) and we watched American Outlaw in the back of Gordies truck. Our saturday night hang outs are always the best, it's usually the only time we get to hang with Brett and Jordy without any interuptions so its wicked!
Sunday, was church then after church we went to the Lilac festival....first off I expected a bunch of flowers..... not a mini cornfest.... so that was a little werid... I also felt like I met satan too.... there were soooo many booths, and street preformers.... I decided I'm going to magician school....screw nursings... HELLO CLOWN COLLEGE! Then we had a quiet night with nachos and laughs with Brett, Gordie and Tyler...... it was pretty wicked!
I had a few days off this week, so I've been tying up loose ends, and hanging out. Lets say I definately could get use to this for sure! I'm starting to get back into my routines of working out and eating healthy, I wish I never got off it, cause it would have been easier to resist all of these bbq's and all the junk, it's sooooo hard starting back at square one..... BUT I WILLLLL DO IT!
OH YEAH!
One last shout out to my BEST FRIEND ever....Saren and her FIANCEE Adam, they got engaged yesterday and I couldn't be more happier for them, I'll be flying out to Ontario sometime in October and they'll be getting married Oct 10th in the Toronto Temple! I'm sooo happy for them!
