So my ward just launched a blog- savvy huh? Well since being released from the Relief Society I've been kind of just sitting around not doing anything, I guess I looked a little bored cause I was extended a calling yesterday. I've been asked to be the 'fun editor' on the blog. Yup! Thats right! I'm FUN! I'm finally getting recognized for being fun too. So pretty much my job is to make the blog interactive, have contests, polls,jokes, funny stories, etc... SO I need all my blog followers to help a 'sistah' out and give me ideas for contests, and polls. I've got a few ideas I just need some help with more. I can post as much as I want(not as much as I post on this blog) but I can do it once a month, or even once a week. So I'm hoping to get some contests going, and some wicked sweet prizes.
I'll send anyone who gives me an idea(that I end up using) a prize too. So get creative and give me some feedback! If you feel so inclined to check out my ward blog go to www.edworthy.wordpress.com . I've browsed it a little already and it's fantastic! I'm excited.

Have everyone tell their worst dating stories... and then have a poll... which is the worst.
Something with dating because that's what your targeted auidence is most interested in.
Maybe do an article about how guys should ask a girl on a date, or how they should act on dates.
A dating etiquette piece. Or ask your ward to comment on what they think is dating etiquette.
ps. I like Liz's "worst dating stories" idea. Haha reminds me of the time I used to read Seventeen and YM magazine where people would write in their most embarrassing stories.

I would have to do it very discretely and annoymously. I would love to be annoymous on the blog and post funny things, but I am not allowed to be offensive,and well I'm sure alot of things I find funny are very offensive to other people.
So far, I've got ideas on memorizing scriptures and passing them off to me, I've got actual blind date set ups, horoscopes, random stuff like that. Any contests that we have in the ward(pumpkin carving contests, etc) will all be done at an fhe then everyone will have to go to an online poll to vote.
Ariana-I would do the horrible dating stories, but you know what the ward is like, everyone in the ward interdates within the ward, if they read their own dating story that was written by the other person they might cry! ha ha!
I will try and incorporate something like that. Like a column where I'll give them real or fake dating stories, then say if you think you can top this, then try it. If not, your date wasn't THAT bad. or something(did that make sense?)
Here's some ideas:
Photo contest - have everyone submit a photo to you, post the best 5 or 10 to be judged
Polls on best dating locations/ideas
Have people submit funny yet inspiring spiritual moments... you know the ones where you make yourself look like a total dork, but come out with an actual spiritual answer at the end
Post missionary stories... either from the elders serving in your ward, RM's, or convert stories
Valentine gift ideas (what to do and what not to do)
Birthday Gift ideas
Articals on what not to do when you "Meet the Parents"
Creative ideas when asking someone on a date or answering to a date
Polls on favorite hymns/musical numbers
Movie reviews
If I think of anymore I will let you know, but theres a few to go on.
